Marriage Counseling, Pre-marital Therapy and Relationship Therapy can help you reconnect, re-ignite a spark or connect deeply for the first time.
Using evidence based Emotionally Focused Couples therapy (EFT) positive connective experiences in session will shape restorative experiences outside of session.
A couples intake session is 120 min and $350, after that couples are given the option to meet for 90 min or 60 min sessions at a weekly or bi-weekly basis billed at $175 per hour. I can also bill in 15 min increments past the first hour to tailor to the needs of each couple.
Whether you have a specific treatment area like anxiety, depressed mood or “feeling blah,” or just know you want a more satisfying life and relationships, Individual work can help.
I enjoy working with fellow therapists, creative and successful professionals, immigrants and other motivated, resilient and insightful individuals who apply themselves while working with me. If this is you lets chat to see if we are a good fit for each other.
During the first session we will create a custom treatment plan that addresses your goals and how we will work together to achieve them. my rate is $175 per hour and I give clients the option to meet for 60 or 90 min sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Sex and Intimacy
Whether you are seeking recovery for infidelity, help navigating sex around infertility, chronic health concerns, a sexless relationship with your partner, or just want to regain intimacy, passion and excitement, sex therapy offers a path forward.
I find that a combined approach using EFT/EMDR and other modalities is most helpful when there has been injury, trauma, or long held beliefs that block a couples or individuals ability to connect sexually.
When working with a couple on sexual concerns I will conduct a 120 min intake session at $350, followed by the option to meet 60 or 90 minutes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis billed at $175 per hour.
Individuals seeking support in this area are advised to book 90 minute sessions weekly or bi-weekly, with an option for 60 minute sessions billed at $175 per hour.
Trauma Recovery/ EMDR
Trauma therapy can unburden you of the heavy weight associated with distressing incidents, bereavement, accidents, or life circumstances that were beyond your control.
Using the evidenced based treatment modality of EMDR along with somatic, breath, and containment exercises I help individuals and couples overcome the effects of distressing events in their life such as the negative beliefs about themselves they leave behind. Doing so allows you to step into a new life worth living.
The recommended treatment length for EMDR is 90 minutes billed at $262.50 on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Alternatively I give clients the option to meet for 60 minutes at $175 weekly or bi-weekly but advise that it may take longer to see changes/they may have to revisit a memory more than once with a shorter session length. As some memories are particularly distressing, I also offer an intensive trauma session for 2-3 hours or more as needed to clear a single incident in one session, which can provide immense relief right away.
Payment is due at the time of the session. I accept cash, check, or credit card payment through my secure online system, Simple Practice. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) are also accepted.
I am able to provide you with a receipt known as a super bill to submit to your insurance company. Typically, insurance companies reimburse you a portion of your expenses from counseling, but different insurance companies reimburse at different rates.
My practice is a private pay practice and I do not bill insurance directly for my services. I am considered an out-of-network provider. This means that if you have out-of-network benefits you may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement for your therapy services by your insurance company.
I advise all clients interested in out-of-network reimbursement to contact their insurance provider directly for more information. Here are some important questions to ask your insurance company:
Because both your time and your treatment are important, your appointment time is reserved for you. Please note that if you cannot keep your appointment, a minimum of 24 hours notice is needed. All missed appointments or cancellations made without 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
Effective January 1, 2022 under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, a ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act” which requires practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” about out-of-network care. At Winds of Change Counseling we work from a place of transparency regarding the cost of therapy sessions and collaborate together on the length of treatment and overall care.
